Check out the photo blog for more pics!

Our second day in Tokyo saw us further exploring Shinjuku further in the morning. Actually, I cannot even remember what we had for lunch. In the afternoon, we headed for Roppongi Hills. It was more of an office area, with some high-end shops.

Here you see Mori Tower which we will eventually go up in the evening.

The largest Louis Vuitton store in Japan!

We had dinner at a chain called Soup Stock Tokyo. Kinda like Soup Spoon in Singapore, but they had less variety of soups and also served rice dishes. But the shop I had was pretty unique - purple cabbage cold soup. Actually there was a fanciful Russian/French sounding name for it but I can't remember it. Anyway, it was served cold and had a light creamy taste. Actually my virgin taste of a cold soup. Refreshing!

We paid 1500 to go up the observatory. It was still light and we hung around until dusk fell.

We had to pay another 300 to go up to an open-air area which was essentially a helipad area. It was very windy and cool. Just the kind of temperature I love!

As night fell, and the lights came on, the Tokyo Tower that I was saw in dramas lit up! Indeed a breathtaking sight to behold, with all the glistening city lights and that lone tower standing erect amidst them all.

Sun setting on the other side of the city.
